Blog Smoke & Mirrors reports on Andrea Grant and Minx at New York Comic Con
Right before the New Year, G4TV aired a special called Women of the Web 2.0. One of those women was Andrea Grant, a phenomenally beautiful and diversely talented young lady who has successfully transcended geekdom with her work ethic. Ms. Grant was kind enough to take time out of her extremely busy schedule to sit down with Omnicomic and talk about MINX, her new webcomic, fasting and juggling multiple interests.
Andrea Grant is, in no particular order, a poet, comic book creator, spoken word practitioner, fashion journalist, magazine publisher and businesswoman. I’ve left a few things out, but you get the idea. She’s possessed of what appears to be a somewhat relentless drive to express herself through art, business and journalism. Plus, she’s not too hard on the eyes. In fact, she’s the kind of girl they should turn into a sexy comic heroine. But you know what? She beat them to the punch and did it herself, and had to scrap it out with industry giant DC Comics to keep her vision of Andrea Grant’s MINX intact.
Website Jazma Online interviews Minx creator Andrea Grant. The interview covers all topics ranging from her poetry, pin-ups and of course Minx.
Website Comic Related takes a look at Andrea Grant’s Minx and Andrea’s new book, The Pin-Up Poet.
